Marivi Lorido Garcia was born in 1958 in Cuba and relocated to the United States at an early age with her parents who were originally from Spain. She and Andy Garcia both had similar exile experiences from Cuba, Andy's family leaving Havana for Miami when he was 5 years old after Castro ordered parents to give up the rights to their own children.
